The purpose of booktrends is to highlight significant increases in program growth from one period to another, it might be in the way of an overnight performance, book to book growth or year to year, it also might highlight downtrends that the competition is having in a recent area. The possibilities are endless from a design and informational standpoint and the examples here just represent a minor sampling of what is possible.
